When smart modular switches were new, most people had never used one, and a product photo can’t show what controlling a room from a phone or remote feels like.

wRetro needed a website that explained the idea in seconds: switches that can be operated from an app or a remote, alongside the usual switch on the wall. Describing it in text alone made it sound more complicated than it is.

We designed the website around a working demo: a virtual living room on the first screen that visitors control themselves.

A phone in the corner of the screen shows the wRetro app. Tapping Light, Fan, TV or AC switches that appliance on or off in the room, with lit ceiling lights, a glowing lamp, a spinning fan, a TV picture and air flowing from the AC, and All On and All Off control everything at once. A toggle swaps the phone for the wRetro remote, whose scene buttons (At Home, Out) and number keys work the same way. Below the demo, the rest of the site introduces the product range. It is built on CodeIgniter (PHP) with HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery.
